Challenge:

Our client impacts the lives of over 1.6 million learners across 12 education districts in over 5000 schools. It executes various strategic and operational projects/initiatives to deliver on its mandate to provide quality education to every child in the province. The senior leadership needed to ensure that all projects across all portfolios are effectively being implemented and have sufficient insight to optimise and drive priority projects.

Solution:

Nihka Technology Group established an enterprise Project Management Office, developed a project management framework with accompanying templates, standardized the management of projects and capacitated staff on how to use the framework and run their projects using different project management methodologies depending on the type of program or project.

Result:

The establishment of an Enterprise PMO, within the Office of the Secretary General (SG), enabled leadership to develop the required capability to successfully drive the key implementation of strategic priorities and strengthen the department’s overall capacity to successfully achieve its mandate.
